Note from Jason Ross this week:

I was selected to be one of 25 bicycle retailers in the country to be
sent to Congress on March 10-12 for the National Bike Summit, where we
will meet with every congressperson to encourage funding for bicycle
and pedestrian projects. Here’s some links to information about the

We can probably use this to generate some local publicity for the Open
Space initiative. I have already spoken with David Peek, and he wants
to publish an article in his newspaper about my trip to DC, wherein we
could include a tie in to the local Open Space initiative.

I will also be at the National Bike Summit, I was just elected the Texas Ambassador for the League of American Bicyclists. So, I will certainly get to spend time with Jason there. We, BikeDFW, rented a house so if Jason needs a place, the costs are minimal compared to the norm there!
