Field Condition Report for Saturday, February 21

Dear Discers,

I just walked the Welsh Park fields.  The good news is that they are almost entirely snow free.  The bad news is that they are absolutely soaked, including some patches of standing water.  While I expect some drying to occur between now and tomorrow morning, the fields will likely remain very soft and muddy tomorrow.

If anyone has ideas about a turf field for tomorrow, I'm open to it.  As recently as 2019 you could still grab the fields at Julius West MS or Gaithersburg HS, but in Blueberry Hill's more recent experience that is not the case today.  The weather should be conducive to playing, if only we can find a field that isn't a wet morass.
