Dear Discers,

I just walked the Welsh Park fields.

Upper Welsh remains covered by about 3-4 inches of mostly-undisturbed snow/ice. But with the warmer weather today (expected to continue into tomorrow), the snow is somewhat softer - like hard wet snow. Running on it would be a bit like running on a beach, but harder.

Lower Welsh is more torn up, as the slope has been used for sledding. So the snow there (particularly near the parking lot) is patchier and sometimes thinner, but also packed. So it is more like ice.

Of the two, the upper field seems more suitable to play, but it will be far from ideal conditions.

Please RSVP if you would like to play tomorrow. If we get more than 7 to commit before 9:30 AM, I will call a game on.
