Seedy Saturdays have been held across Canada since 1989 usually during the months of February and March each year. They are a great opportunity for people interested in gardening, in growing their own food, in buying local produce, in food security and in environmental issues to come together and exchange or buy heritage varieties of vegetable & flower seeds, purchase local and area food products, participate in hands-on workshops, hear speakers and network.
This is the Sault's third annual Seedy Saturday event and is co-sponsored by the Clean North, Sault College, the SS Marie Horticultural Society and Seeds of Diversity Canada.
