The Liberals, New Democrats and Bloc Québécois have signed an agreement (PDF) to form a coalition government if the Conservatives are defeated in a non-confidence vote on Monday, December 8.The agreement stipulates that Stéphane Dion would become Prime Minister until the Liberal Party chooses a new leader -- Dominic Leblanc, Michael Ignatieff or Bob Rae -- in May, who would then take over as PM. |
