This is a local issue as it is global - global issues are local issues because Sault Ste Marie is not exempt from the laws the govern nations, provinces or countries. Therefore i hope this email meets the provisional rocks and Trees rules. Food under attack by Big Pharma, the future of our children and their rights to good healthy food is in great danger if the generation of today remains idle. One has to wonder what goes on in the minds of these powerful lawmakers.. Food is a human right period and should never be subjected to restrictive laws that prohibit their use to mankind. What is becoming of our world and how can the average individual not recognize these sinister acts. The attitude over food and its natural medical properties are now becoming restricted and controlled by Big pharmaceutical companies for the sake of profit and control. Just imagine not being able to possess garlic for example because Big Pharma declares it a medicinal drug which is to be controlled as a drug under the same provisions as synthetic pharmaceutical medicines. The list of foods that potentially cure or treat disease is enormous and to imagine not having access to these natural foods is alarming.. I could almost forsee the nessesity of a permit to grow such foods on our land if one desired to do so for personal use however would be restricted from selling or giving such designated foods to others.
