HPL.dat is a hold over from 4.3 -- it is an input file for the linpack
benchmark. we have removed linpack from rocks V and i forgot to remove
HPL.dat and linpack.sh from the 'examples' directory in the SGE roll.

sorry for the confusion.

Hello,

So, What can be used now in Rocks V instead of linpack for benchmarking?

You can still use Linpack. You just need to download and built it
yourself.

It is actually a very good exercise to do this on your own instead of
using a canned version of xhpl. The Rocks folks used to shipped a prebuilt
xhpl which in almost 100% of the cases would have not been tunned for your
specific architecture.

Feel free to blame me for the missing xhpl. I voiced my opinion about it
at various times on the mailing list, at SC conventions, and frequently in
private email to the Rocks developers.

This is to find performance of compute cluster. These are the tests performed after building new cluster to know status of the cluster. In your case this may not be relevant. Please see the following web site for more information.
