Just want Rocks Cluster users know that open-source Grid Engine
is alive and well in the post-Sun world. We continue to attract new
members, develop new features, release new versions (see the Gompute
User Meeting section below).

Gompute/Gridcore (the guys who kindly gave the Open Grid Scheduler
project booth space at SC11 for the GE 2011.11 demo) joins the open
source joins the open source Grid Engine (Open Grid Scheduler)
project.

Supporting quote:

"Gompute, providing comprehensive services and technologies for
Technical & Scientific computing, leveraging the Gompute software
stack and Gompute On-Demand service will contribute its expertise and
resources in HPC to the open source Grid Engine community."

Gompute User Meeting
====================
Gompute User Meeting in Gothenburg, Sweden
Dates: May 8 & 9, 2012

I also wanted to pre-announce that an update version of Grid Engine
2011.11 will be released at the Gompute User Meeting. (Not to be
confused with the patch version Grid Engine 2011.11 patch 1 - the
GE 2011.11 u1 release will contain new features.)

If enough users are able to attend, Gompute/Gridcore can organize a
separate area for the Grid Engine users to interact and have an
informal session, and I will go over the state of Open Grid Scheduler
(open source Grid Engine) in detail.

Registration for the Gompute User Meeting is free and you can register
for the conference at:
