Hi Gowtham,

Is it necessary to download some software?

Thank you

Yes, HPL does not come installed with Rocks.

Hi guys,

I've downloaded HPL and tried to compile it but it seems a never ending process (it has taken more than 7 hours in a core 2 duo processor). MPI is included in Rocks, so I think is not necessary to download any other software, isn't it?

These are the messages displayed on the screen, repeated thousand of times

Please go through the thread I previously mentioned -
it has a copy of Makefile that has worked for me and
at least one other person on this list.

If you can wait till this weekend, I'll post a write
up to this effect.

Best,
g

Thak you Gowtham,

I would like to know if there's another way to install Linpack?, In example I've found that can be downloaded from Intel's website, and some more documents with the same goal, but seem each of them have their own approach, so for now my question is if Rocks has every software needed (MPI / BLAS, etc) to compile HPL downloaded from http://www.netlib.org/benchmark/hpl/.

In a few words, I'm confusing myself, so any hints would be immensely appreciated. Thank you once again.

Marinho.-

Please find my notes here:

Any thoughts to make it better will be greatly
appreciated.
