[Rocks-Discuss] Managed Switches and PDU

Hello Everyone,

I have a APC PDU (AP7911) and a managed ethernet switch (SMC Tigerstack
10G 8724M) and am trying to figure out how to configure both of them. I need
to configure the switch first so that the power distribution unit will power
on the nodes. I removed all the cables from the switch, just connected the
main node to it and then started insert-ethers and picked "Ethernet Switch"
but nothing is recogonised.

Can anyone suggest how I configure these two appliances. My installation
on the main node went without a hitch. Many thanks.

The switch needs to be set to DHCP for its ip, insert-ethers is
waiting for the DHCP request broadcast from the switch. You can watch
this if you run tcpdump
