EBASS BRINGS TOGETHER MUSIC INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS
AND STELLAR LOCAL TALENT AT THE SEARCHLIGHT SHOWCASE
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17
On December 6th, Emerging Boston Area Singer-Songwriters (EBASS) will present its final event of the 2016 season: The Searchlight Showcase. Highlighting eight of the best emerging musicians the Boston music community has to offer, The Searchlight Showcase will give stellar local talent the chance to showcase their music for a panel of music industry professionals offering opportunities that will bring their dreams to life.
The eight musicians - Julia Mark, George Woods, Adam Sickler, Jack & Katie, Prateek, Kaiti Jones, R.D. King, and Hannah Siglin - received the most votes in a community poll featuring over 700 local acts. At the show, each act will have the opportunity to impress the panelists during a 15-minute set.
The Showcase will feature a panel of seven music industry professionals who will provide future performance opportunities to their favorite acts of the night. Representing a variety of opportunities for artists of all genres, the panel will bring together Matt Smith, Booker at Club Passim; Anngelle Wood, Host of Boston Emissions; Kristen Hoskins, Curator of Lectures, Courses and Concerts at the Museum of Fine Arts; Dan Millen, Booker and Co-Owner at Thunder Road; Karen Weber, Booker at Boston GreenFest; Kathy Sands-Boehmer, Booker at me&thee coffeehouse; and Bob Hollis, President and Booker at the Spire Center.
