LEAGUE PODCAST + LYSTEN BOSTON PRESENTS
ONWARD ETC. | MIDDLE EAST UPSTAIRS |
$5 INDUSTRY NIGHT!

"I don't really know how to begin to explain life on the road. The door opens, the key turns, the engine screams, the tires roll, the rubber burns, the scenery changes, the sky fades, the city arrives, people alive, the stage awaits, curtain call and the show goes on. Day after day after day. The show must go on." - Rosco Wuestewald [Onward, Etc.]

Onward, etc. is a musical project put together by Rosco Wuestewald. Leaving the midwest at an early age, he started a journey traveling around the world. His live performances proved to be captivating as Wuestewald’s voice carries out his heart wrenching lyrics accompanied by his punk rock roots and Olsen’s stage jumping antics.

The Onward, etc. project has been successful as the cyclone of musicians have acquired components and companions in nearly every state in the country. They have played with a dream-come-true list of bands featuring: Larry and His Flask, Skinny Lister, Lucero, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, The Goddamn Gallows, Reverend Horton Heat, Murder By Death and many more.

They have been a part of Coachella, Bonnaroo, Floyd Fest, SummerFest, Vans Warped Tour, SE Alaskan State Fair, and venues both intimate and rowdy throughout the U.S. & Europe. This caught the eye of DC Jam Records who signed them in 2013. Onward, etc. lives by their name as they forge onward making a new album “Sonder On” with DC Jam Records and Derek Obrien (Social Distortion, D.O.B Sounds)

They released the album in March 2014 and have been ripping up the road with it since. Successfully doing 3 US headlining tours and one European tour. As they march forcefully into the new year there are hints at a new release and lots and lots of touring to come!

"American Opera folk rock singer/songwriter may give the likes of Joe Cocker a run for his money. His songs are gritty and moody with just the right amount of edge."

THE GHOST PINES

"Guinness-inspired Celtic rock with a punk-ass twist that gives your pants and pints a kick." - SHRED - WBCN Boston

The Middle East

The Middle East Restaurant & Nightclub was founded in 1970 by the Sater family. Originally opened as a restaurant, the establishment added the first music venue in 1975 (which is now the Middle East Upstairs), and continued to expand the institution over the decades, adding the Corner and the Downstairs in 1988. The Sater family's Lebanese heritage has been a large contributing factor to the unique and ornate atmosphere the club, guaranteeing a memorable experience for all. With performances from bands of every genre imaginable accessible to enjoy seven nights a week, and venue capacities from 100 to 550 people, The Middle East offers something special for everyone. In recent years the club has won multiple awards, including Boston's best mid sized venue. The club also made Rolling Stone's 2013 Venue's That Rock list.

Adding to the exclusivity of the club, this past 2014 owners Joseph and Nabil Sater bought the building in its entirety, solidifying it as a memorable landmark within the heart of Central Square. This accomplishment makes The Middle East the only independently owned and operated venue in town.

Additionally to its three premier venues, The Middle East still serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. With an ethnic cuisine, inspired by the Sater family's roots, the menu is a collection of Middle Eastern classics with various American additions.
