I am Lana Dale, Dick Dale's wife and I run our Business entirely…I am Dick’s Manager/Agent/Booker/PR/Photographer/Filmographer and Creator of all DD Merch/ Nurse and i answer well over 2000+ emails per week religiously regarding my husband and Love of my entire Life Dick Dale.

Please check dickdale.com for all Venue and Concert Festival Listings and also check it for his pioneered equipment he made for Fender… DD is the creator and pioneer of much of the fender equipment with then like second father Leo Fender in late 50s and 60s.

DD and I will be at The Casa B. The World Famous Malibu Inn in Malibu, Ca. on July 23rd, 2016 Saturday as well. DD’s show there will be spectacular so lets let everyone know as it is only a 250 capacity and tickets will sell very quickly.

DD and I do a Large tour twice a year and do a short tour in Nov. of each year up the coast of Ca. in which we Love doing and why because Ca. is Dick’s and My stomping grounds as we live in 29 Palms, Ca. Dick was Mr. California!
DD moved to Ca. in 1954.

He started on town hall party in 1955 then as his father managed Dick for many years after he put him on steady at the Rendezvous Ballroom. DD got the number from the manager and his father made the deal with Rendezvous Ballroom.
My Husband and I do Venues and Casinos and Festival Events in between these tours. 
I answer well over 2000+ emails per week from DD music Lovers as DD is a guitar legend from 1955 Marking 60 + years in the business. Guitar Legend Dick Dale was born in Boston, Mass. and grew up in Quincy, Mass. as DD is now 78 years old.
Dick is considered the 2rd most influential guitarist in the world!  
Dick is self taught as he started playing drums on his mothers flour cans at an early age.
DD is a Showman all the way and can play any type of Music.
Most people say DD is a genius and i being his wife say yes he is as i am with Dick around the clock over the years 24/24 and I can tell you my husband Dick is very Eccentric but in a Boston, Mass. Way.
Look on You Tube and you will find hundreds of videos of Dick Dale performing and old clips from films as well.
You will see DD on National Television in 1963 on the Ed Sullivan show. 
You might want to research as DD was also on Town Home Party.
Dick is responsible for reopening Rendezvous Ballroom in the late 1950s and was also a fixture at Harmony Park in the early 1960s.
Dick was in movies starting in 1958 Film "Let’s Make Love" with Marilyn Monroe and Yves Montand as he was an Elvis Impersonator in a red jacket..you can’t miss him
right in the beginning of the Movie.
DD then Did a Film in 1963 called “A Swingin Affair” where he starred with William Wellman Jr. son of the Great Director William Wellman Sr. who made A star is born in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Frederick March.
DD was also in the Beach Party Movies starting in 1964 "Beach Party" and "Muscle Beach Party” as he was in Harmony Park in those days and also playing at Ciros in the late 1960s.
DD made a Record called Live at Ciros in 1966.
DD made a film called Local Boys in 1997 with Mark Harmon and his Music has been in countless commercials over the years and also movies as well.
DD moved to Hawaii in the late 1960s and also lived in Costa Mesa for a bit and then bought the Gillette Mansion and lived in it for a few years with his wild animals trying to save them from poachers and extinction at the time. 
DD lost the mention sad but true to swindlers plus lost much more in his life!
Countless Awards through the 60+ Years were given to Guitar Legend Dick Dale.
One very Important award was given to DD by his Peers as 100,000 voted him into the Musicians Hall of Fame Museum in 2009.
After he lost the Gillette Mansion in the early 1980s he then lived in a few different homes and then moved to 29 Palms, Ca. where we reside and will most likely Live the rest of our lives.
We love the Desert and the History of this amazing place.
Where they made many old westerns in the day and there is so much History i can’t even begin to tell you all about just read
the book “Sand in my shoe”. 

DD and I suffer from Major Medical illnesses..I try and help the DD music lovers from their illnesses each day as that is why I answer 2000+ emails per week religiously.

I am a strong Wild Life Advocate and have been all my life both for Animals on land and in the sea. 
I also try and save our Precious trees as well. I encourage people to help honest organizations save these animals and our Forests and I can't stress this enough especially now!
DD at one time in his life had 40 different species of cats, dogs, Big Cats and Sea Lions, Monkey's and even a baby elephant. That all ended in 1993 as the costs were too much for him and he just had so much sorrow loosing so many of them. 
Very Important Promo Note:
Dick Pioneered and created the AMPS WITH LEO FENDER AND ALSO much of the equipment back in the day with Leo fender including stratacaster guitar.
AS HE WAS always called THE FATHER OF HEAVY METAL in Spain as DD is loved Dearly all over the World.
DICK WAS THE PIONEER OF IT ALL from 1955 on. THE BEACH BOYS, JAN AND DEAN, RITCHIE VALENS, BUDDY HOLLY, The Kingston Trio plus many more ALL OPENED FOR DD IN THE LATE 50S AND VERY EARLY 60S. DD taught Jimi Hendrix the slide. Jimi Idolized DD as Buddy Miles Jimi Drummer did as well and hundreds of thousands of others.

DD at one time from 1967-1982 ran two of the largest nightclubs in Southern Ca. called the Rendezvous 2 and The Playgirl 
Club. Dick built them from ground up 30,000 square feet each. 
This went on for almost 20 years as he ran them, performed in them, cooked in them and slept in them. He hired the largest nightclub acts in Vegas! It all started in 1967 and ended in 1982. There isn't anything DD cannot tell you about the business as he is a walking Encyclopedia on it  of course. 
I do Most All Public Relations for My Husband and have Dick Dale all over AP Release all over the world all the time.  
 
Dick just received the Jason Becker Award for Courage, Inspiration and Creativity in Sept. of 2015 from Guitar Player Magazine as DD is the First after Jason Becker himself to receive this major Lifetime Achievement award. Dick also was featured again as over the years he has been a true favorite of Guitar Player Magazine and many other Guitar Magazines as they love to talk about Dick’s Great Work since 1955. 
DD also received the ATFL Gala Award on March 28th, 2014 by the US Lebanese Ambassador Antoine Chedid and most of Congress for his Life Long Contribution to Music since 1955.
We Flew to Washington DC for the Event and our Parents Leo and Judy Yates were invited to this Major Event Extravaganza and also to the Award Party the day before at THE US LEBANESE AMBASSADOR Antoine Chedid’s house.
On another soon to take place event Dick Dale Will also Receiving a Triple Platinum for his Music of “Misirlou”.  He will also be receiving one for Black eyed Peas Pump it as well. He also has three other Platinum Awards for Misirlou and Pump It -Black Eyed Peas. That makes a total of four Platinum awards for each in his Lifetime so far for this music.

I also want to let you know about DD's Medical as we are honest about it all.
Dick has a stoma bag for 10 years now, Renal Failure, Major Prostate and Bladder issues, Anemia, Fistula's which develop from him straining and performing, Fistula's are leakages and they are very dangerous for DD.
DD has a stoma bag, renal failure, diabetes with insulin plus
Gallstones and now recently we were just told he has Cancer again. 
We are busy around the clock with Medical for him and also with Touring and Venues and Casinos and Festival Events plus me running our business and I myself Battle the disease Multiple Schlerosis and a Hurthel Tumor Rt. side Thyroid...Plus Thyroid disease and much more as i have had many Medical issues most of my life.
We believe your body follows your mind so we live life And cherish eash day.
We are strong Advocates all our Lives of No Drugs, No Alcohol, No cigarettes and No red meat and have both been this way all Of our Lives! We want to see the young people survive this day and age! 

On a note Dick and I are a Major Love Story they want to make a movie about one day as we always do it all together and are never apart -24/24.

We are always glad to see the DD music lovers and grateful They came as some of them travel long distances to see Dick!
They are who are responsible for making DD a Guitar Legend and they give us both great joy always.  
DD's and My Love story is a Great and Unbelievable love story as they want to make a movie about it one day marking 25 years.

The Middle East

The Middle East Restaurant & Nightclub was founded in 1970 by the Sater family. Originally opened as a restaurant, the establishment added the first music venue in 1975 (which is now the Middle East Upstairs), and continued to expand the institution over the decades, adding the Corner and the Downstairs in 1988. The Sater family's Lebanese heritage has been a large contributing factor to the unique and ornate atmosphere the club, guaranteeing a memorable experience for all. With performances from bands of every genre imaginable accessible to enjoy seven nights a week, and venue capacities from 100 to 550 people, The Middle East offers something special for everyone. In recent years the club has won multiple awards, including Boston's best mid sized venue. The club also made Rolling Stone's 2013 Venue's That Rock list.  

Adding to the exclusivity of the club, this past 2014 owners Joseph and Nabil Sater bought the building in its entirety, solidifying it as a memorable landmark within the heart of Central Square. This accomplishment makes The Middle East the only independently owned and operated venue in town.

Additionally to its three premier venues, The Middle East still serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. With an ethnic cuisine, inspired by the Sater family's roots, the menu is a collection of Middle Eastern classics with various American additions.
