Hello all, Jim,
I am an lucky owner of Rock Ola 477 Max. I just found your group and I joined.

I am looking for any suggestion and advise, how to resolve my problem.
Generally speaking, if selected number is higher than 133, a magazine stops a bit later and an arm is a bit above the disc.
For last numbers (e.g. 167), the arm chooses exactly the number 177 (next disc).
I did logic board test and only #100 is correct. For 2nd (#194) is one disc later but for #197 the mechanism can not find it.

I love my jukebox ... :), therefore your help is priceless ...

Minor forward or backward indexing adjustments may be made with the R406 trim pot (or screw adjustment) on the logic board.
If the trim pot cannot be adjusted for proper alignment the encoder disc should be readjusted as explained on page 20 of this archived pdf:

Hello, I have checked the R406 maximum left and right, and still was something wrong ...
Therefore I inspected very carefully my 477 and I found that a plastic wheel is broken ...
I guess, that it could be a reason of my problem. Is it possible to fix it or buy udamaged somewhere?

I believe that's called the adjustment disc holder--Rock-Ola part # 52172 in case you want to ask around.
There is a seller on ebay called "bagheracat" who often lists a lot of random Rock-Ola stuff. Maybe he can scrape one up.
Meantime I'd try repairing it with a good quality super glue. It's not a super high tension part and there should be no reason to tighten the bolt too hard.
The ones I've seen break before I suspect were primarily the result of rough handling and/or not properly tightening down all four bolts of the mechanism when transporting.
good luck, Ed

hi
mine has the same problem,
you need to unscrew and fix it with a collar
even if it s a square, it works, as Ed said , it s not a high tension part
