Hi,

I have aproblem with my 477 MAX. Selection buttons 8 and 9 dont work.

I was wondering if any one could tell me if this would be down to the
credit control board?

I have checked all the other boards and buttons but they seem ok. The
credit board has been "tampered with" at some point as you can clearly
see new solder and wires.

Any help you can offer would be great.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Geoff

Hi,

I had a quick look at the schematic. Buttons 8 and 9 share a common circuit on the positive side. This circuit is also shared with the reset button. Does your reset button work?

You could check continuity back to pin 8 of IC 702 (via a grey wire?) from the anode of the diode at one of those switches. Possibly there is a dirty connection somewhere. You could also look at R711 which is the pull up resistor for that circuit. There isn't really any other common components in that circuit.

Of course if your reset button does work then something else is up :-)

Cheers,
Jim

Hi, There is a test procedure for the keyboard in the manual if you have one.
