Hello everyone.
Nice to meet you all!
I am in middle of fixing a jukebox ... My father has always talked about getting a jukebox, and the time seems right, it will be his birthday present. 60 years and still rockin'! ;)
After a long search I found a Rockola a few months ago: 477 max! Perfect machine. Not too fancy, but as cool as can be. Just what I was after. There was a problem with it not returning the records, but it was solved swiftly - I found this repair dude who in fact had a spare logic board and voila!
But ... There is always a but ...
Now I have noticed that the selections I make are played, but not in the right order. I will investigate this further, but I also think that jukebox might skip a selection or two every now and then. But I am not sure yet... Can't remember what I chose after 3 songs anyway. :)
Must use paper and pen, I suppose... First I thought that it is somekind of shuffleplay, but I checked that all of the switches that control the playmodes were off (left side down) so maybe not, then. The problem is not a big one - I just want to make sure that I am not giving a present that turns out to be a mine field... My father has also my pinball machine that used to be dead for more than 2 years... Not a cool piece to have in your house in that state. But I did fix it too, dunno if he plays it though. :D
Now that I have had this jukebox in my flat for month or so I already know that I have to buy me another... Can't enjoy my life without a jukebox in my house. Can't be arsed to turn an album all the time. I rather choose 20 singles and enjoy.
Also, finally I have a good use for my vinyl recorder. I bought this machine 7 years back and we made singles and records for small bands. It cuts songs on PVC vinyl blanks, they last like pressed records but the sound is better. It didn't turn out to be a gold mine and the work is hard, so it has been just sitting at my studio lately. Can't wait that I can fill my own jukebox with exactly what I want.
Ok, gotta get back to the MAX to see if it shuffles this time around ;) If someone has had similar issues, help would do.
Ok, gotta go... ... ..
;)
