I used Affinity to do rough edits on several images, and I was impressed with how versatile it is. But I quickly got lost trying to do simple things like cancel Developments on a block of opened images. I need instruction, some of which can be found in published tutorials., but some of which cannot.
Hoping to follow some of the tutorials in the book, I tried to reset my tools and toolbar going through View/Customize Toolbar, which just blacked out the toolbar. Then I tried to reset going through View/Customize Tools, which brought up dozens of tools, but didn't organize them the way they were when I first opened the program.
Is it possible to reset an individual tool within a working session? For example, if I select the star tool and change the number of points and the angles between points, these changed settings are what comes up the next time I use the tool. While it's easy enough to change the number of points each time, it's not as easy to remember/change back to default settings for the angles of a standard star. I'd like to be able to use the tool, modify the shape as needed for that instance but then return to the tool in the future and have it set back to factory defaults with regards to angles and points
Thanks for reaching out. You are using Advanced Toolbar. That is why you are unable to reset. As when the Advanced option is selected, all the tools are available in Toolbar. You may drag any tool you don't want to use in the "All Tools" menu or choose Basic Toolbar and add or remove the tool to enable the reset option. I hope it clarifies.
I am wondering if anyone knows any methods or tools for bypassing administrator password on Windows 11. I am looking for a safe and free solution that does not involve any complex technical processes, as I have forgotten the administrator password. I have tried a few password recovery methods but none of them seem to work. I do not want to reset my device as it would result in loss of important data. I need your advice.
[Update] For quick reference, here is the working method suggested by Joseph220. It is quite easy and effective to reset Windows 11 password on my computer and here is the screenshot:
Ouch, that's a tough spot to be in. Been there before, and it can be super frustrating. First and foremost, always remember: never try to bypass passwords on a computer you don't own or have permission to access, for obvious ethical and legal reasons.
Offline NT Password & Registry Editor: Despite its intimidating name, this is a pretty straightforward tool. It doesn't actually recover the password but rather removes it. You'll need to boot from a USB drive created with this tool, and then follow the steps it provides. It's free and has been around for quite a long time. Just make sure you're following a good guide and, again, have backed up your data in case things go sideways.
iSeePassword Windows password recovery tool is a graphical tool that allows you to bypass, reset, or change forgotten local / Microsoft account passwords on Windows. It also lets you enable and unlock Windows accounts that are disabled, locked out, or expired.
Ophcrack: This is a free Windows password cracker based on rainbow tables. It's a bit more complicated but it's been proven effective many times. You'll need to download the LiveCD ISO, burn it to a USB or CD, and boot from it.
Password Reset Disk: If, in the past, you've created a password reset disk (I know, who remembers to do that, right?), you can use that to reset the password. It's the easiest method if you have the disk, but if you didn't create one before forgetting your password, this won't be an option.
The tool is not compatible with Endpoint Privilege Management for Windows agent protection and Endpoint Privilege Management for Windows anti-tamper in versions of the Reset Adapter prior to 23.8, and is not usable on devices where agent protection or anti-tamper are enabled.
In this scenario, stop the Package Manager service, uninstall the Adapter, and then reset the Package Manager. Once the Package Manager is active, the Package Manager installs the Adapter with the auto-update configuration.

Quite a few bootable Live CDs (non-openSUSE) have a Windows password reset tool. I think systemrescuecd and trinity rescue toolkit are two. You can probably get them on bootable USB sticks and not have to take out the disk drive to do the operation.
thanks for your reply.
I have a custom made bootdisk for that purpuse, made with windows PE. But i like to have an alternative as sometimes the target pc is old and doesnt have a cdrom (or it doesnt work), or it doesnt support boot from USB.
The idea is that in those cases ill connect the drive to my suse box and work from there.
I allready have all the options in windows, i can boot the target pc from a live cd (mentioned above), i can boot it by PXE from my windows box, or i can plug the drive to the other pc.
but im planning to replace windows with suse as much as possible, so i plan to implement all those methods in suse

My tool palette was set on what I thought was default with tabs: Design, Walls, Doors, Windows, and a few others. While I was out on vacation someone else used my computer (he has limited AutoCAD experience) and somehow the palette changed and now has tabs: Design, Annotation, Interiors, Roombook, and several others. I use the Walls, Doors and Windows tabs all the time and want to reset the default setting.
He has AutoCAD experience...but not ACA experience. He used it on my computer one day and the next day it opened with the changed tool palette....he did not intentionally change anything. If him logging in under a different profile changed the tool palette why would it not change again when I logged in with my profile?
If others will be working at your computer while logged in as you, then you should take precautions by exporting your AutoCAD/ACA profiles so they can be imported later. Fixing tool palette groups shouldn't be too hard though.
Try issuing the contentbrowser command, while in the "AutoCAD Architecture (US Imperial)" profile or one based on that. Then look at the Sample Tool palette catalog. Drag the palette groups into AutoCAD Arch and all should be restored.

your HD. Rename (f.e. aiprefs_backup) or delete it. Start AI and you've got
the prefrences like a new installation.Greetz
