Meanwhile in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku and Gohan have a nice relaxing bath after having a hard training session with Goku telling Gohan that it is just as important to rest as it is to train. Back at the Tropical Islands, Krillin makes his decision, letting his presence known before the Androids as they notice the Shut Down Remote which Krillin destroys. Vegeta meanwhile also makes his decision, allowing Cell to go and absorb Android 18 so that he can grow stronger instead of being so pitiful. However Future Trunks knowing that his father is being played, steps in and blocks Cell intending to finish him off. As the two clash, Cell finally spots Android 18 at last.
I'd say both, but in different ways. Krillin's decision not to destroy the remote allowed Cell to absorb Android 18, while Vegeta's desire to challenge himself and fight the strongest opponent led him to let Cell achieve his perfect form by absorbing Android 18. For sure that Krillin's intentions were honest and actually trying to destroy it and Vegeta was such an arrogant but I'm just looking at the whole picture here. What do u think??
The Namekian people create "magic balls" according to the Saiyans. And although his decision to go to the planet was a noble one, it leads to Krillin's death at the hands of Frieza. Sometimes it's best to accept one's human limitations and leave such tasks to stronger allies like Goku who can handle it.
On top of this, Goten and Trunks are already busy guarding Android 17's wildlife island, so they're not exactly free or in a safe place. Krillin exhibits reservations about this decision, but that makes his choice to go through with it even worse.
Krillin's decision to become a police officer makes perfect sense. He decides to use his strength to help those in need and also wants to make a living to support his family. While this all seems ideal, Krillin appears to take a fair bit of gunfire and show utter fear while on the job, even though he's well equipped for this task.
During the Cell Saga, Krillin opts to save Android 18 and keep her alive, which ultimately turns out to be a good decision. However, for a while, at least, it's a major blunder. Cell is able to absorb her and Android 17 in order to become his Perfect form and cause all sorts of chaos.
Krillin allows this to happen by proxy and all he really bases his decision to save 18 on is that she kisses him and doesn't exhibit complete malice. It's a bad choice that could have made things much worse for everyone involved.
He wholeheartedly believes that Android 18 isn't inherently evil or is destined to ravage the planet, as her future counterpart does. Foolish or not, he destroys the shut down controller and allows 18 to maintain her autonomy as a person; such a decision takes extraordinary courage, as he very well knows the possible ramifications.
Of course, this decision ultimately results in Cell attaining his Perfect Form, killing Goku, and almost destroying the entire planet. But, that isn't all Krillin's fault, and he is certainly influenced by his romantic feelings towards 18 - after all, she does tease him AND break Vegeta's arm.
Additionally due to Krillin destroying the remote in the main timeline, Android 18 and her brother where not shut down and after the Cell Games, 17 who had been absorbed by Cell and died with him during the Cell Games was revived by the wish to revive Cell's victims, while 18 was saved by Krillin after SSJ2 Gohan's attack had caused Cell to regurgitate 18, and the Android Bombs where removed from both twins due to Krillin's wish to Shenron, giving Android 17 and 18 a second chance. As a result of this act of mercy, Android 18 would later go on to marry Krillin, leading to the birth of their daughter Marron. Android 17 humbled after his encounter with Cell and hearing about the Cell Games after his revival, went on to become a forest ranger at the Royal National Park protecting wildlife from poachers and later married a zoologist, had at least one child with her as well as two adopted children. During the Kid Buu Saga, Android 17 and 18 would provide energy to the Super Spirit Bomb along with the Z Fighters and the rest of Earth's population, with 17 even contributing more by forcing two hunters at gun point to raise their hands forcing them to give their energy as well. In Dragon Ball Super, their survival in the main timeline would also prove invaluable to Universe 7 during the Tournament of Power as they were recruited by Goku to join Team Universe 7 giving Universe 7 two power fighters with limitless supply of energy who can work well together as a team, which would be of benefit to Team Universe 7 in the battle royal format of Tournament of Power. Thus it can be argued that Krillin ultimately made the right decision destroy the remote, instead of shutting down Android 18.
In Krillin's What-If Story level "Krillin's Indecision" deals with Krillin's decision on Android 18's fate. The outcome of Krillin's battle with Android 18 determines whether he destroys the remote or uses it to deactivate and destroy 18. If time runs out with Android 18's health lower than Krillin, this results in Krillin destroying the remote and Android 18 is absorbed by Cell who becomes perfect, leading Krillin and Trunks to confront Perfect Cell together in "Differences In Experience" which follows the storyline of the main series with Cell proving too powerful and resulting in the events of the Cell Games, with Krillin saving 18 after she is spit out by Cell and using the Dragon Balls to remove the Android Bombs from 18 and her revive brother 17.
