With the release of the update on February 16th, there appears to have been a bug released that lets blank white ad bars back in even with premium unlocker installed. Clicking on the bars does and goes nowhere so they seem dead.

The Resizable widget is AWESOME! thanks for the addition! Made the widget the perfect size for me now. Just looking forward to getting ad bar free once more!

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Rocket Player and Rocket Player Premium (Rocket Unlocker).  I've noticed this, in the 'App Info' while the version for Rocket Player shows 5.7.30, the Rocket Unlocker shows 9.4.

Thank you so much for reporting this!
Due to how our phones are configured for testing, we didn't catch this bug. And it's definitely a bug.
We are working on an update now so be on the lookout probably later today for it to be fixed.

This should be fixed in version 5.7.34, which should now be available in the Play Store for beta users.

I paid for the full, commercial free Version of Rocket Player. The Adds were gone, but after some time, they appeared again. So I uninstalled the Rocket Player and installed it again. Then it was adfree again.

But now - about 2 days ago, I joined the beta testing. In the beginning, everything was fine. But today, suddenly, the adds are back again, even though I payed. Right now I am using Version 5.7.64

Sorry you are running into issues. Can you try this?

1) Reboot your phone
2) Open Google Play Store and make sure you are signed in with this email.
3) Open Rocket Player.
4) If still asking for you to upgrade, hit the Upgrade button and it should detect that you already have a license under this email.

Let me know if that works.

Currently running version 5.7.64. Not having the ad issue at the moment, but not saying someone else with a different model phone, OS version, or carrier might not have the issues.

Carrier: T-Mobile
OS: Android 8.1.0
Phone: Samsung Note 9 (SM-N960U)

Hello Caroline. Thanks for your fast reply.

It seems as if the problem solved itself. Shorty after I made the above post, I charged the phone (while it was still turned on) and went to bed. When I got up the next morning, I opened the Rocket Player and the adds were gone.
I assume, that my phone was looking for app updates overnight and detected the existing license.

But thanks again for your fast reply.  :-)

Oh good! Sometimes it is just Google Play being super slow to tell us you have a license. We try to put in some fail safes but sometimes Google just takes so long that it appears to us you don't have a license. Launching Google Play and then going back, usually solves it.
