Age Restrictions
Adult volunteers. For safety reasons, no children under 16 years of age (16-17 are welcome if they are supervised and accompanied by an adult volunteer).
What to Wear
We recommend our volunteers wear a hat, long pants and sleeves, so any prickly underbrush or insects won't bother you, and if we find any sharp scrap metal, you won't get a scrape! Please wear closed-toed, waterproof shoes or boots.
What to Bring
Please bring your own work gloves and any garden tools that you think will help to remove embedded junk or pull out litter and trash hanging in the trees or underneath underbrush! We only have a handful of tools to lend to our volunteers so we really appreciate it when you bring your own (or you will have to share with others). Please mark your name on any tools/equipment you bring with you using a marker so in case we find them later, we can be sure to return them to you.
Before you leave home
We appreciate and recommend you bring your own water/drink, sunscreen and insect repellent. If you are allergic to insect bites or stings, please bring any needed medications and notify the stream captain of your allergy.
If you cannot join us, but want to help for future cleanups as part of the storm cleanup, please consider a monetary donation or donation of supplies (trash bags, work gloves, shovels, bottled water, etc.) to be used at cleanups.
Additional cleanups will be posted on the event calendar in the next week. Please check our calendar at www.patapsco.org
Hope you will join us!
