I have one female hummer who has stayed. Saw her yesterday but so far not today.
One morning last week when it was in the low 40s I stood by my kitchen window at first light and saw a hummer just huddled on the perch of the feeder — not feeding, just hunched up on the perch. When I went to the back door I saw another, just sitting on the perch of another feeder — not feeding, just waiting. The two of them just sat there, near the food sources, until the sun rose and with it the temperature— then they both became active. Haven’t seen that behavior before, but then, I’m not often up in the kitchen that early😆
