The title of last email should be Picking Up and Storing Clothing Donations! Sorry about that...sending one too many emails!

Hi All,

A couple of organizations are trying to collect unwanted clothing donations that are taking up space at some of the relief sites. See below e-mail. If you are identifying a lot of clothing that needs pick-up, please contact Coleen directly, contact details below:

I was called in yesterday to help the City and some other non-profit organizations try and reorganize their materials donation plan, and one of the first things we are working on is trying to get non-essential items (mostly clothes) that are taking up valuable space at distribution centers picked up and sorted in one of our warehouses in Manhattan.  We are working throughout the five boroughs but I know you all have a good connection going with many community organizations there.

If you run across anyone with these needs (or if you all have a need for this), please feel free to forward my contact information along:colleen.s...@newyorkcares.org718-669-0306

Hello All,

I have access to one 8 hour kitchen shift at Hana Kitchens in Sunset Park, at #34 35th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue that I would like to donate.

If anyone has need for a kitchen space this week, please contact me and I will help facilitate access to this particular shift - the timing is flexible.

If more shifts are needed, the management there is willing to donate some time, please let me know and I can help facilitate that.

Thanks!
