My friend and I swap songs where the artists say or sing car noises, and I heard one this weekend I can't quite forget, or remember. All decades and genres are fair game, but it's 100% not Vroom Vroom by Charli XCX!
I am feeling memory challenged this morning, and also feeling like a bad person, as I do not remember much about Tempest. Have I heard this song before? We are back to boys with moto jackets singing about cars in an NCT-derivative style. That was very, what, 2020?
When listening to this song for the first time it reminded me a lot of a different song. Especially the part in the chorus where they sing "drive baby drive" is invoking memories of a song but I can't remember what song it is and it's killing me ? =AaXh8N5a0PbdYTAe
Tempest you can do better than this, I need Yuehua to get a grip with their song choices. I wish Dive from the single album was the title track because thats a beautiful song, I get it is not as edgy as Vroom Vroom but I need some more melody here. Bluetooth is also a sweet ballad and redeems Tempest for me. I will just forget about Vroom Vroom and its existence and move on with Dive.
The song was recorded on January 2015 in Sweden. Sophie played the song for the first time at SXSW on March 22, 2015.[1] She talked about the song again on May 21, 2015, and said "We (SOPHIE) clicked and did four or five songs. One of them is called "Vroom Vroom"", and called this the most electronic thing she has ever done.[2][3]
