Safe to ride non-fat bikes on trails with current conditions?

I have a question about winter conditions and bike/tire width. I used to ride at eastwood thru most of the winter on a regular mountain bike. Are conditions at either Eastwood or Gamehaven right now such that I can still do so, or is it only "Fat Bike" time? Is there a way to know when it's ok and when it's not ok? Is it different for each park?
