County Road 3 Bridge Reconstruction and Pavement Preservation Project - May-August

Hello Biking friends - 

Please take note that from May-August you will not be able to enter Pine Island by County Road 3. 

Olmsted county will be reconstructing the bridge. It would be best if you are trying to get into Pine Island by County Road 3, at the roundabout you will need to take a right turn to head out on Country Road 5 towards the elementary school/Douglas Trail. Hop on the Douglas Trail in that area. 

Also, watch for increased traffic on New Haven Road, which is where the new subdivision is by the elementary school. With the closure of County Road 3, many of us Pine Island residents will be taking New Haven road (not all the way paved) to get back into Pine Island. School is still in session until the end of May. 

In addition, even if you love a little bit of gravel, I would highly recommend staying on Douglas Trail for your safety and to stop at the stop signs when crossing over New Haven Road due to the increased traffic.
