recommended sites & bike routes in Copenhagen?

Hi everybody--
In March, I'll have the very happy opportunity to visit Copenhagen for a conference. I've never visited before, but I know its reputation as a city that is beautiful and very bike-able. Have you visited? Can you recommend sites to see or routes to ride? Is it better to use the Bycyklen bike share system or rent a bike from a local shop? I've got a coupla extra days to play tourist, and my wife is coming along. I promise to bring back photos, and to write an article for the RCA website!

Never been to Copen but have rented bike from bike share and bike shops. Prefer bike shop rental because you probably can get the style of bike that will fit better, and sometimes can customize. I once brought my clipless pedals and shoes and rented a drop bar road bike.
