- U of R earns LAB silver "Bicycle Friendly" award - 2 Updates
Doug Kelley <dhke...@gmail.com>: Jan 08 05:49AM -0800
Hi everybody--
I've got good news this morning: U of R earned a silver "Bicycle Friendly"
award from the League of American Bicyclists this year. That's an
improvement from bronze, which they've earned in the past, with Glenn
Cerosaletti doing a lot of the heavy lifting, I think. This article
<http://www.rochester.edu/newscenter/university-receives-bicycle-friendly-silver-award-352452/>
has more details. The Department of Transportation and Parking Management
has authority for such things and is discussed in the article, so please
consider sending a quick note of thanks to Jim Chodak
<james....@rochester.edu>, the director.
Does anybody know if Jim and his staff initiated the application? Or was
Glenn leading the charge again?

"Cerosaletti, Glenn" <glenn.ce...@rochester.edu>: Jan 08 02:16PM
Thanks for letting us know, Doug. I did not lead the charge; Jim and Bruce Bashwiner mentioned to us in a meeting a couple of months ago that they had pursued it. Andrea Walton and Jeff Foster may also have been instrumental, as well as perhaps our sustainability coordinator in Facilities, Amy Kadrie. Good idea to exercise some positive reinforcement with this accomplishment.
