Hi Cycling Folk—
Scott M. sends this information about two pieces of proposed legislation:

1. The Personal Health Investment Today (PHIT) Act, a Federal bill that would make it easier for Americans to be physically active, for example by paying for bikes with pre-tax money from HSAs and FSAs.

2. A New York State bill that would allow non-infrastructure safety funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to be used for bike and pedestrian infrastructure, to the tune of $15 million.

Quick correction: being a non-infrastructure bill, this would not fund bike infrastructure, but other activities like bike education and enforcement. Sorry for the late-night brain failure.
