East Ave 4 / 3 Conversion
Brendan Ryan - Original Plans were for 3 11' lanes with 3.5' shoulders "for bikes". Advocating for 3 10' lanes with 5' bike lanes instead.
DOT proposed 2 10' travel lanes, 11' turn lane, and 4.5' shoulders. They claim anything less than 11' center lanes are never used, and that they feel it would be unsafe to do so.
A meeting was held to discuss the alternate plans. Lots of voices at the table so hard to have a deep discussion. Letters of support have been sent from the town supervisors of Brighton and Pittsford as well as Brighton's town board.
DOT has been sent a collection of examples where 10' center turn lanes are used in Monroe county.
Rich Desarra - DOT will exam all turning lanes. Most of their turn lanes are 11' or 12', but there are 10' out there.
Rich - There are a lot of missing sidewalks.
Brendan Ryan - There is a TAP grant to fill in the sidewalk grants in 2019

Public Market is in the middle of a dense urban neighborhood. Their footprint is constrained by the surrounding neighborhood. The public market gets complaints about the lack of surface parking.
