While working on finding infrastructure data related to last week's meeting, I came across
https://bikewise.org. Bikewise is an open source project with a public API that allows people to submit reports that can be used later for data analysis.
I'm mentioning it here because for it to be useful, reports need to be submitted. Other than a handful of theft reports in the area, it isn't being used. My end vision is that if there are enough data points coming in, the city and the local suburbs will be able to use it and react based on these reports. Worst case, RCA can use that data when deciding on future goals to work towards.
The next time you hear about a crash, hazard, infrastructure issue, or theft, see if it's been reported and if not, file a report. I'll likely be doing this myself, but I'm not aware of everything that happens in the area, so the more people that know about this resource, the better.
