Does the City, meaning the Mail and ALL the City Council members as well as the Downtown Development Corporation, Visit Rochester, and the Finger Lakes REDC know of these rankings? Do they know that these rankings have a significant effect on bookings for the size of conventions Visit Rochester is trying to attract to use Rochester's facilities?

If not then they should be so informed of the importance of both the People For Bikes and the LAB Bicycle Friendly Cities rankings.

The new *People for Bikes* City rankings
<https://cityratings.peopleforbikes.org> were unveiled today.

Rochester went down from #21 to #47 in the country. This is to be expected.
Let's hope the lower ranking spurs City Hall to go beyond the status quo
and aim for better bike networks.

Here is Rochester's 2019 report.

Here is last year's
report. https://cityratings.peopleforbikes.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/rochesterNY.pdf

Let's discuss at Thursday's RCA meeting. May's RCA meeting has been moved
to May 9 so it won't coincide with Bike Week. U of R, Goergen Hall, Room
108, 7-9pm
