Bob Lechner Fund Drive established

Dear RCA Friends:

Most of you have heard of the horrific bicycle crash RCA member Bob Lechner suffered on Friday May 25, 2018.

The FB site for Bob Lechner, https://www.facebook.com/Bob-O-Strong-1036924609817708/ has announced a funding drive to cover the cost above insurance coverage, which will be huge.

Bob will be moved to a spinal cord injury facility east of Rochester. Currently the leading facility is in New Jersey. The ambulance transportation to the facility is NOT coverage by insurance.

Dear RCA Friends,

After more than ten weeks at a rehab center near Albany, long time friend and bicycle advocate is coming home next week.

His home has been equipped for his electric wheelchair, all possible equipment has been installed in his home to aid in further rehab, and a customized van has been purchased and delivered to bring him home. The long recovery will continue in Rochester.

Funds are still needed to cover Bob's visits to the VA Rehab Center and many visits to a local hospital for tests and medical care.Many incidental expenses, like parking fees,van fuel, etc are not covered by insurance. Please help.
