DEAR RCA Friends:

On behalf of the Genesee Transportation Council (GTC), I would like to formally invite you to participate in 2 Roadway Safety Audits (RSAs) in the City of Rochester on October 10. This is the second phase of the Vulnerable Road Users Safety Assessment Program.

Your expertise and knowledge are vitally important in helping the team assessing existing conditions and develop effective safety improvement strategies for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.

We will be doing 2 Road Safety Audits the morning of October 10, from 9 am to noon. We will audit Lake Avenue between Pattonwood Drive and Stonewood Avenue and Lyell Avenue from Avery Street to Lake Avenue. We are working to get a bus to shuttle us between sites, so this email serves as a save the date/time. I will let you know where to meet us for bus pickup when those details are confirmed.

Prior to the field review, I will distribute background data and complete initial crash analyses to those of you who RSVP. If you cannot make it, but would like to send someone in your place, please forward this email to them and have them RSVP with me directly. If you feel someone else you know would be interested in attending this Audit, please forward them this email.

If you need accommodation for travel, please let me know. If you have any questions, please reach out to me. Please RSVP as soon as possible to dra...@gtcmpo.org or (585) 232-6240. I look forward to hearing from you.
