I've had my fun over the last 25 years and it's time to let go. I highly doubt I will be flying any more in my old age. I always hoped I'd be able to fly as long as Skydog, but I've accomplished all the goals I set for myself when I first flew of the training hill in 2001.
My stuff is so old, it isn't worth the trouble to sell it. If someone can use any of these items, it would be better than taking up room in my garage.
I'm not willing to ship anything. If you want to come to my house to pick up any of these items, I live 30 minutes north of Buffalo.
It is for bigger folks. I hook in at around 300 lbs. and I can climb with the best of them. Be aware that if you hook in at less than 200 lbs., you might find it a bit sluggish to turn based on anecdotal comments from Mark Frutiger. For my weight, I can spin it on a dime.
Hours: a LOT.
Condition: Has had repairs to the sail after it blew over and had a kingpost jabbed through it. I've flown it for years after repairs with no issues. It is a sound flying machine.
Extra downtube, original wheels, aftermarket wheels (much better wheels!)
Flytec 5030.
Many years ago, I had the air pressure sensor replaced and they put new batteries in it. I think they still hold a good charge, but if you find you need new batteries, it is easy to replace them if you have access to 3 18650 batteries and a soldering iron.
CG1000 harness
For big guys. I'm 6'3". I have it adjusted for my height, but it is better suited for someone 6' or less. It is 20+ years old, but still works fine. Because of the way it is made, it is hard to get upright for landing. Just FYI.
High Energy Sports Quantum 550 chute
This is a rated as a tandem chute.
Never deployed. Perfect condition.
If you are serious about claiming any of these items, please reply to the group that you have claimed them so that others will know the items have been promised.
I work from home and I never leave the house unless I've run out of whiskey, so anytime you are free to come on out, I'll be here.
Flying with you folks has been my pleasure, and I would especially like to thank those who helped me out of the tree at Hammondsport back in 2001. :-)
Best regards,
Joe
