I've had my fun over the last 25 years and it's time to let go.  I highly doubt I will be flying any more in my old age.  I always hoped I'd be able to fly as long as Skydog, but I've accomplished all the goals I set for myself when I first flew of the training hill in 2001.

My stuff is so old, it isn't worth the trouble to sell it.  If someone can use any of these items, it would be better than taking up room in my garage.

I'm not willing to ship anything.  If you want to come to my house to pick up any of these items, I live 30 minutes north of Buffalo.

Sport 2 175
It is for bigger folks.  I hook in at around 300 lbs. and I can climb with the best of them.  Be aware that if you hook in at less than 200 lbs., you might find it a bit sluggish to turn based on anecdotal comments from Mark Frutiger.  For my weight, I can spin it on a dime.

Hours: a LOT.
Condition: Has had repairs to the sail after it blew over and had a kingpost jabbed through it.  I've flown it for years after repairs with no issues.  It is a sound flying machine.

Extra downtube, original wheels, aftermarket wheels (much better wheels!)

Flytec 5030.
Many years ago, I had the air pressure sensor replaced and they put new batteries in it.  I think they still hold a good charge, but if you find you need new batteries, it is easy to replace them if you have access to 3 18650 batteries and a soldering iron.

CG1000 harness
For big guys.  I'm 6'3".  I have it adjusted for my height, but it is better suited for someone 6' or less.  It is 20+ years old, but still works fine.  Because of the way it is made, it is hard to get upright for landing.  Just FYI.

High Energy Sports Quantum 550 chute
This is a rated as a tandem chute.
Never deployed.  Perfect condition.

If you are serious about claiming any of these items, please reply to the group that you have claimed them so that others will know the items have been promised.

I work from home and I never leave the house unless I've run out of whiskey, so anytime you are free to come on out, I'll be here.

Flying with you folks has been my pleasure, and I would especially like to thank those who helped me out of the tree at Hammondsport back in 2001.  :-)

Best regards,
Joe

I’m interested in any and all of it if no one else is going to claim it I would be happy to share it with other pilots as well. I’m in the Rochester area and an active member of RAF  just let me know if this stuff is available and I would be happy to come pick it up although we haven’t met. I already feel sad that I’ve missed the opportunity to fly with you.

Sure thing I can come out whenever you’re ready I work full-time during the week and we have a check out day on Saturday, but I can come down in the evenings or even tonight if I had to you let me know what’s convenient for you no rush, but I’m super excited and again I’m totally stoked and excited to meet you actually just hit me back up. Let me know what’s good for you and we’ll hook up. Thank you. You rock.

Also, I could take a half day if I need to to drive out there if there’s more convenient to do it during the daytime during the weekdays, it’s no problem at all. I have a very flexible schedule just a full-time job :-)

Let's get it done! Come over tonight.  Anytime after six o'clock as i'm having some people over for easter dinner at 4.   It won't take long to load that stuff up.

You should be glad to meet me because i'm practically a flying legend!  Ha!!!  My crashes are legendary!

Text me at 7 1 6 4 8 1 9 6 2 1 and I'll give you my address.   The easiest way is to take the ninety and get off at route 78, go north about 6 or 7 miles and you will practically be at my house.

I really hope this stuff gets used. Because it has great sentimental value for me.

I look forward to meeting you too!

Good on you, Joe! And you are a legend. Of sorts anyway. Think of you often, old friend. Peace.

Hey Joe long time no see. Lots of good memories over the years flying
and hanging out with you. Sorry to see you get out of the sport. Don't
be shy, if you are ever in the area stop out at the training hill and
see us. You can always climb it a few times for old times sake.

Please remove me from this mailing list. I’m not sure how I ended up on it in the first place.
