Aron has a work party at Harris on Saturday, March 28 at 9:30 am.

Chris asked me to organize work parties for the RAF sites, as this work falls under the heading of making each site safe.

I'd like to plan for Dansville on Saturday, April 4 at 9:30 am, Hammondsport on Saturday, April 11 at 9:30 am, and Bristol for Saturday, April 18 at 9:30 am. Please bring loppers, hand saws, chain saws-on-a-stick, and chain saws.

If you can't help on those days, feel free to go to one of the sites at a time convenient for you and do some cutting of saplings or limbs. If you do that, please post what work was done so that we can plan accordingly. Posting pictures would be helpful so that we know how much work is left.

In Dansville, the work that needs to be done is to cut any new growth at launch between where we stop cutting the grass and the cliff. (Later, we'll bring a mower to cut the grass on launch.)

In Hammondsport, saplings probably need to be cut below the two launches. (Later, we'll take a DR to cut brush along the landing strip in the LZ.)

At Bristol, saplings need to be cut below and to the two sides of the launch slot. (We'll mow grass there later.)

I know there is the Check It Out Program on April 11 with a Rain Date of April 18, so if folks that are not helping at Check It Out could make a special effort to help with Site Maintenance, that would be helpful.

I was going to schedule these work days earlier, but the weather has been so nasty. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best wishes,
