A big thank you to Dave H, Karl, Moritz, Keene and G for representing RAF today at the War Plane Museum . There wasn’t a big crowd. The museum sold out of tickets ( 250) for the kids activity, but I’m guessing the threatening weather kept most away. I don’t think we recruited any future free flight pilots. Karl did put on a good ground handling demonstration for a small crowd.
When we first arrived there was a Luscombe flying around, and there was supposed to be some Aeroncas flying but again the weather kept them home. Moritz flew in in his 701! We didn’t get to see much of him or his plane, as he took off shortly after just before the skies opened up. We tore down and followed him, beating the rain by a few minutes. The museum was appreciative of our attendance.
