Economic Talk

Runs: June 3rd
Times: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: Temple Beth El-139 South Winton Rd.
Description: Dan Senor, co-author of Start-Up Nation: The Story of Israel’s Economic Miracle and Senior Fellow for Middle Eastern Studies at the Council for Foreign Relations, will speak in Rochester on Thursday, June 3 at 7 pm, at Temple Beth El, 139 South Winton Road.

Mr. Senor’s book offers interesting insight into what it takes to cultivate a successful entrepreneurial ecosystem. We can learn from Israel - a country that produces twice as much venture capital investment per capita than the U.S. and 30 times more than Europe.

Israel shows that start-ups and small businesses drive an economy, much like they have the Rochester Region's economy. Rochester business people can learn how to continue to grow this economy through strong small businesses, and how to garner more venture capital investment.

Mr. Senor is also a dynamic speaker with significant foreign relations experience, having served as senior adviser and chief spokesman for the U.S. lead coalition in Iraq during 2003-2004. Learn more at http://www.jewishrochester.org/page.aspx?id=220341
