RYP Volunteer Opportunities

The 2010 Finger Lakes Riesling Festival is looking for RYP members interested in volunteering on August 14-15, 2010 to help raise money for the YMCA. Last year, the festival raised $35,000 for the Canandaigua Family YMCA! For more information about the festival visit http://www.rieslingfestival.com/.

The festival is taking place along Lakeshore Drive and Kershaw Park in Canandaigua, NY. All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, August 14 from 1:00-6:00pm & Sunday August 15, 2010 from 9:00am-6:00pm (Rain or Shine).
Volunteers are welcome on one or both days.  If you can not stay the whole day on Sunday, you are welcome to take a morning or afternoon shift.

We will have a training one week prior to the festival to review volunteer duties and to hand out volunteer t-shirts.

Description of volunteer opportunities:
Beer Pourers
Additional volunteers will be needed on Saturday to assist the eight beer vendors and pour beer in the Wegmans New York State Craft Beer Tent.

Water Sellers
Volunteers in this group should be extroverted, approachable, and upbeat! Volunteers will work in groups of two, and will be supplied with water bottles to sell to festival goers for $1. Volunteers should be comfortable approaching festival-goers with confidence. A cooler with ice and money bag will be given to each team.
