Hello from RYP—

This week, RYP offers 2 events. On Wednesday, join RYP for dinner and a movie. We will be meeting at the Italian bistro Gusto on Alexander St.  This is a great opportunity to network and converse with other young professionals over a meal. After dinner, we will be seeing the classic movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at the Dryden Theater. If you plan on attending the dinner please RSVP to <maria....@r-y-p.org>. YP’s receive a $2 discount to the film. Be sure to mention that you are a young professional at the ticket booth to receive the discount.

On Thursday, participate in a fun volunteer opportunity sorting food for Foodlink. Foodlink rescues and redistributes over ten million pounds of foods to the community each year. To volunteer, please RSVP to Teresa at <ter...@newkenmore.com>.

RYP Activities

RYP & EYP Movie Night

Runs: December 16th
Times: 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Location: Gusto & Dryden Theater
Description: Share dinner and conversation with other young professionals. We will be meeting up at 6:30 for dining at the Italian bistro Gusto (on Alexander located near Old Toad). The definition of Gusto means enthusiasm, rigorous enjoyment, and zest for life which fits in with the theme of our movie choice, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Dinner provides a great opportunity to talk with other YP's in a quiet setting. Then see the John Hughes classic. If you plan on attending dinner please RSVP to <maria....@r-y-p.org>. YP's receive a $2 disount off the movie. Just mention you are a YP at the Dryden box office.

When the “average and proud of it” Ferris (Matthew Broderick) decides to ditch school and drag his best pal and girlfriend along, all hell breaks loose in Chicago. Part tour of the Windy City’s highlights, part hymn to the joys of chaos, John Hughes’s fourth feature as writer-director was a huge hit with audiences eager to identify with the title character’s ability to have his cake, eat it, then throw the rest in the faces of his overbearing elders.

RYP Volunteers: Foodlink

Runs: December 17th
Times: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: Foodlink
Description: Rochester Young Professionals is having a volunteer event at Foodlink. As a group, we will be helping sort packaged items for Foodlink. This event is open to all RYP members and friends. Come on out and help out this great organization. Afterward, we'll all go to Nathaniel's (251 Exchange Blvd.).

FoodLink works with area food retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers to acquire, sort, store and redistribute food to its member charity programs - especially soup kitchens, shelters and emergency food pantries. In addition, FoodLink also provides food to hundreds of non-emergency programs like group homes, day cares, senior centers and camps.

Please contact RYP member Teresa Gianni with any questions and to RSVP at <ter...@newkenmore.com>.
Please RSVP so we can know how many volunteers to expect and plan accordingly. Event is limited to 20 volunteers.
