number of home buying topics including the: first time and extension
first time home-buyer tax credit, prequalification, inspections and
more. This is a great opportunity to learn from one of this community’s

RYP Home Buying w/Mark Siwiec

Description: Attend a home buying event at the home of Mark
Siwiec. Mark is the leading sales agent in Rochester with over $33
million in annual sales. Meet this community leader and learn about
home buying.
We will cover a variety of issues:
- home buying for the 1st time buyer
- the extension of the 1st time home buyer tax credit

RYP Retain the Brains Presentation

Description: We are facing a "brain drain" as recent graduates
from area colleges have left Upstate NY. Maria Thomas Fisher, will talk
about how the group Rochester Young Professionals is working to retain
and attract young professionals through social, business, volunteer and
community engagement. The presentation will be in the Kate Gleason
Auditorium.

entries for Rochester’s fourth annual Classical Idol Competition
(
www.rosclassicalidol.org). This juried competition with audience
participation seeks the best emerging vocal talent in the classical
music genre: opera, art song, oratorio or musical theater. Modeled
after the popular TV show, American Idol, singers compete before a live
audience for cash prizes and a chance to perform a solo in concert with
the Rochester Oratorio Society. Registration for this season’s
competition closes February 28, 2010.

Preliminary round selection occurs by recorded audition CD adjudicated
by ROS Music Director, Eric Townell. The final round will be at the
Hochstein Performance Hall, Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 7:30 pm.
Benefit Concert for Haiti
