EPIC 2010

The EPIC is coming!  The EPIC is coming!  What is the EPIC you ask?  Boy do I have an answer for you!  The EPIC is a 60 mile trail adventure.  It starts in Genesee Valley Park well before the sun comes up.  We head south on mountain bikes with headlights and taillights on the Greenway Trail.  Somewhere around crossing under the Thruway, the sun peeks over the horizon.  Then it's full speed ahead to the soup factory in Mt. Morris.  We turn there and head up the hill to Brian's USA Diner.  After refueling and telling stories, it's strip off a few layers and head South on the Finger Lakes Trail through Letchworth State Park and ending up at the Parade Grounds where subs, drinks and dry clothes await (provided you are nice to the people running the SAG wagon).  60 miles of mountain biking and a ride you will NEVER forget.  You'll make fast friends along the trail be proud of your accomplishment.

 

When is the EPIC you ask?  Good question.  Mark your calendars for October 9th.  If you only do one event this year, this should be it.  There will be many more details and a "gear list" to pack following over the next couple weeks.  In the mean time, get out your mountain bike, get it tuned up and start riding.  Get those spare tubes and CO2 cartridges.  Don't forget the extra master links and chain tool or 5 master links if you're Doug Mauro.
