de la roche family

I am descended from the Huguenot family who came to Barnstaple, Devon
when the Edict of nantes was revoked. The family name which connects
me is Rendell. My father and grandson both were given a christian
name of de la Roche.

I am interested to make any relevant connections.

The Huguenot De la roches came to Devon very early but My Descendents from Farnce in 1796 were Catholics and from the Royal Palace and from Belguim.if that is any help.

seventh great grandfather, Reverend James Fontaine, also fled to Barnstable
from La Rochell after the revocation of the Edict of Nante.

We are imvolved with Count Pierre De la Roche He is my GGGGreat Grandfather and he was in the French Palace and escaped back to Belguim.

I am in Italy but return home later this week.  I'll send you the specifics that I have.  The detail is pretty limited as the research was done by my great grandfather Rendell who was mor einterested in the family line than in the surrounding circumstances.
