School Without Walls needs volunteer Portfolio Reviewers

This is about volunteering to review student portfolios at School
Without Walls.

School Without Walls Portfolio Reviewer Expectations

- Reviewers will participate in a one-hour orientation session on the
SWW Portfolio Assessment process, in December, 2006, at SWW on 480
Broadway, at a time to be agreed upon.

- Reviewers will spend approximately one and one-half hours in
January, 2007, and again in June, 2007, reading the portfolio, writing
feedback, and meeting with the student to review the comments and
suggestions.

- After the first session in January, Portfolio Reviewers may meet
with the student before June, for the purpose of mentoring or
tutoring, if they so choose. This extra work is not expected by SWW.

- SWW will seek feedback on the Portfolio Review Process from the
reviewers following the January and June meetings.

- Portfolio Reviewers are encouraged to work with the student they are
assigned for the student's entire high school career, if they are
satisfied with the process.
