Anki is spaced repetition technique which is simple but highly effective. It helps you memorize things by automatically repeating them across increasing intervals based on your responses with no need for you to keep track of what to study or when to study it. You create notes (or download shared decks) with content you need to memorize, and the scheduler will make sure you see the content when you need to.

To start using AnkiDroid, we need to add some cards to study. From the main screen, tapping the big blue plus button will allow you to either add a new "note" (i.e. create new flashcards), download shared decks (decks that other people have created and shared online), or create new empty decks.

Note that the currently selected deck is highlighted with a grey background, and if you have any filtered decks they will be highlighted using a blue font. Filtered decks are discussed elsewhere in the manual.

Allows you to choose from some convenient presets for studying outside of your normal schedule, for example increasing the study limit for the day. See the section on "filtered decks" for more detailed information.

On this screen you can view a summary of the deck, build custom study sessions, rebuild / empty filtered decks, and change deck options. When visible, pressing the study button will take you to the study screen for that deck.

The browser screen starts by displaying all the cards in the currently selected deck. You can search for cards in the selected deckby tapping the magnifying glass icon in the top. You can change the selected deck (or change to all decks) by choosing the deck from thedropdown list on the top left.

In this scenario you have some existing Anki decks that you want to copy into a new install of AnkiDroid by syncing with AnkiWeb. Open the Anki client with your existing decks (usually this would be Anki desktop, but it could also mean a version of AnkiDroid you have been using on another device), and click the synchronization button (which has two arrows in a circle) at the top right of the deck list.

If you have never used AnkiWeb before you will need to enter your credentials if prompted, andthen press the "Upload to AnkiWeb" button to confirm overwriting the empty collection on AnkiWeb with your existing decks in Anki. Anki will upload all your cards, images and audio to AnkiWeb. If you have a lot of media, this may take some time.

Once the synchronization has completed, open AnkiDroid in the device that you are trying to copy the existing decks into, and tap the Sync button in the app bar at the top of the main deck list.After entering your AnkiWeb credentials, AnkiDroid will download all your cards and media, and remember your login information for next time.

If you have new cards on both sides which you want to keep,before syncing you can export a deck package for each deck containing new cards from AnkiDroid, then when you do the syncchoose "download" to download from AnkiWeb. After the synchronization has completed, you can import the decks you previously exported from AnkiDroid,as per the importing section.

Alternatively, if you want only fragments of cards to be read aloud, or if you want to set the TTS language for multiple decks at once, you can insert tags into card templates. For example, with the following template for the back of the card

I am experiencing the problem with decks not syncing between Windows and Android devices as of the most recent patch (23.2.2). Not only are the collections are not syncing properly, the deck I see in the collection does not reflect the same set of cards when I go into a match. For example if I modify a deck on Android and check the deck on PC it will not have synced but when I start a match on PC, it will use the deck I modified on Android. Most confusing!

Same issue for me. Deck does not sync between PC and android. Two days ago I edit my deck on android to replace 1 out of 2 spammy arcanist with mutanus but when I play on my PC both copy of spammy arcanist is still there but mutanus is also there. The deck editor in PC still show the old version with 2 copy of spammy arcanist

I've never really published a deck before and I have no idea what I am doing with markdown but I actually think I have something here so here goes nothing...\nOver my long Netrunner career I don't think I've ever felt like I've made a deck that was truely good. This deck though... This might actually be good? Honestly I'm not sure but it's definitely cool. I haven't played a lot of games with this yet but it's been surprisingly versatile and has a lot of outs you wouldn't expect.\n\nOrigin Story:\n\nI was screwing around trying to make Orca work and ended up including a Mind's Eye because that seems like a good thing to have in an Orca deck. My big dumb whale got trashed and I was in the this odd game state where I could use Padma to farm counters and try to still win on RnD even though I was locked out. I didn't end up winning that game but it gave me a golden idea. How could we capitalise on that game state? I started thinking about the old Geist and Hayley decks that used Gbahali and Kongamato to break ice and I realised that a lot of the tools in the current card pool lend themselves to that kind of shell. Then I decided to make my idea worse by putting it in a pet ID that only has 12 influence!\n\nThe Game Plan:\n\nIt's pretty simple. \n\n

1. Get a Poison Vial (I often muligan for this if I don't have it) and something to break ice with such as a saltie or indigenous hunting implement.\n
2. Hammer RnD until the corp makes it too hard to get in there. \n
3. Do it again on HQ or Archives using Beatriz or Eru. \n
4. When they make that too hard, just access RnD without running at all by using Mind's Eye. \n\n\nWe need to draw quite a lot and sometimes it's important to slow down in order to camp the remote a bit. There's a alot of flexibility in running no breakers though. Archer and Stavka aren't very scary. Even Ansell is pretty underwhelming. Defensive upgrades aren't great against us because we can almost always pivot to another central or just use Mind's Eye to avoid the effects.\n\nCard Choices:\n\nNyashia - This is our backbone. We want to install at least one as fast as possible. It puts an impressive amount of pressure on RnD and synergises with all of our other tools for accessing RnD including Mind's Eye. You might be tempted to run Conduit instead but I am pretty convinced that would be a mistake. It doesn't work with Jailbreak, Eru, Beatriz or Mind's Eye. This card is also our only way to steal SDS Drone Deployment so keep that in mind if you're facing Weyland.\n\nFencer Fueono - This is actually pretty amazing. I had a spare influence and couldn't figure out where to spend it but friend Fueno lets us spend their credits more or less however we damn please. We can spend them on Akiko's psy game. We can steal stupid agendas. We can trash pesky Rashida Jaheems. We can even go diving. It's just... good. I tried a few other things but I don't think there's better value for 1 inf in the cardpool.\n\nStoneship Chart Room - So this seems like an obvious include but it's also incredibly versatile. As long as we get 1 counter on Mind's Eye we can use the power of maps to access RnD when ever we fancy. We can also navigate our way out of being murdered by Neurospike or other such rocky shoals. Most of the time though, we just find ourselves extra Nyashia counters.\n\nInto the Depths - This card looks like economy but it's often a way to get Nyashia faster and pressure RnD harder\n\nAirbladeX (JSRF Ed.) - This is probably a flex slot but I like it as an asnwer to things like Starlit Knight and Mestnichestvo\n\nClosing Thoughts:\n\nI'm bad at this. I don't often make good decks. Usually I copy something someone else did and make it worse. To that end I encourage others to try this deck and see if they can make it better. There are cards I want in here that I don't know how to get in. Psych Mike for example seems like a good thing to have.
