I have read a few posts that confirmed that a b2body's shape can be destroyed and recreated though none of them showed how. Also I want to change the fixtures during my animation. Not during every frame change but only for the key frame changes. How do I synchronize the creation and destruction of the fixtures with the timing for the animation?
It is not a good decision to recreate your fixtures often. b2World will ignore your fixture if you recreate it every tick. It is mych simplier to use some common fixture (circle, box) and just rotate/move it.
It sounds like joints are not the correct solution here since I don't want any movement so I have created a main body which is the middle bit and 2 fixtures for the sides. I've added the two sides to the middle bit like this:
This works, however both side fixtures get added to the center of the mainBody. I can't seem to work out how to position the fixtures relative to the main body. Attaching a sprite/node to the fixture and changing the position doesn't seem to make a difference.

You can add each team's fixtures to Google Calendar, to Apple's Calendar app on phone, tablet and desktop computers, and to Outlook calendar via Windows desktop computers and on Macs via Outlook.com.
Download is a one-off import of the fixtures. If the fixtures change, you will need to download the calendar file again to update your data. If you subscribe to the calendar feed, your calendar application will sync the fixture dates and kick-off times automatically without the need for a manual update so you will always have the latest information.
Simply navigate to the fixtures page for your chosen football team or competition, and use the 'add to calendar' link from within your chosen device to customise and subscribe to the feed. A feed is also available for F1 on the schedule and results page.
