Dear All,
I am a new user of the Robot Vision Tool Kit and I am trying
to learnt his to connect some USB based device to my PC using the
same. I was trying to learn this software using the reference manual.
I tried executing the first command using the manual. I got the
following error:

Robotsee_Console is not an internal or external command, operable
program or batch file. I am very sure that someone might have faced
this problem. I am sorry that I was not able to find an answer to the
question in the archives.

Are you using the run button on the IDE?

If you goto C:\emgrobotics\robotvisiontoolkit\bin

then click on the RobotSee_IDE

type in:

loop:
print( "\nHELLO WORLD" )
delay( 1000 )
goto( loop )

then click on file->save as -> give it a filename
then click run

There are training videos here: www.youtube.com/seeprogrammer

The Mindset walking video covers how to run programs.

I created a quick video that covers how to use the IDE, and writing
your first "HELLO WORLD" program.

Thanks for your help. The program worked. I am still curious to know why I didn't work with the command prompt option that was provided in the reference manual.

There are examples of how to execute RobotSee from a command prompt.

In the examples, look at the .bat files.

During the install, I do not modify your path variable.
So in order to execute RobotSee_Console.exe, you need to be in the bin
directory.

so

cd c:\emgrobotics\robotvisiontoolkit\bin

robotsee_console path to your see file

you can also just type: robotsee_console

and it will prompt for a path filename

Hi,
I shall try that and get back to you. Thanks for the mail. I tried launching the sound files using the example available in the directory. I try launching a sound file that was of 5 minutes duration. I saw that the file was being played by the  program only for the time delay mentioned in the code. I introduced a time delay of 5 minutes using a loop. I was able to play the complete file.

I tried removing the soundstop() command. Yet I was able to obtain the same result. What am I supposed to do if I wanted to play a complete file just by merely calling it with commands?

soundplay() will play a whole file until a soundstop() or another soundplay() is called.
soundloop() will loop the sound file.

sounds play in the background, allowing other robotsee commands to run.

Unfortunately, there is no way to detect when a sound has completed.

Do you want to play a sound, and wait until the sound completes?

Let me know

Hi,
I wanted the same. I tried using the sound play command and introduced a delay to wait until the sound file completes playing. I am currently trying to access USB based devices.
