All:

Please direct all issues regarding the PandaBoard to the
RobotRefPlatform Google group. That is why we set up the
group, so we could all learn from one another's experiences.

I did not do anything special. I did the following:

apt-get install libcv-dev libopencv-dev libopencv-doc libcvaux-dev
libhighgui-dev

The highgui library downloaded a small mountain of packages to
interface to all of the video devices, but it just took time
and storage space. After that, I compiled my fiducial code and
it just worked.
