Hi Guys,

Just thought I would mention that I have made a brief start on a Haxe port of RL2. I havent made a whole load of progress on the RL side however I have managed to get the bulk of SwiftSuspenders2 to work in the Flash target.

Unfortunately I have had to pause the project for now, but have written up my progress thus far on my blog: http://mikecann.co.uk/programming/on-porting-robotlegs2-swiftsupenders2-to-haxe/

Hopefully once I get more time ill pick it up again and carry on, or hopefully someone else will continue on the work ;)

The Github projects are:

Hey Mike, you should talk to Dominic (if you can raise him - he's being particularly uncommunicative at the moment). He ported quite a lot of RL1 for a recent haXe project and may have some stuff that you can share.

Hi Alec,

Oh cool, ill definitely drop him a line, im interested in hearing his adventures regarding acquiring a US Visa too. I assume he is aware there is already a RL1 port by David Peek?

Cheers,
Mike

Yeah. I think we didn't go there because it requires the rtti stuff, and he ended up doing a Flash-only RL1 port, but I'm hazy on the details.

(On the visa comment, I haven't forgotten about your email - I'll get there, sorry for the delay)

Ye, you can setup a macro that injects the RTTI stuff at compile time so you dont have to mess around with interfaces but it does bloat the size of the compiled output quite abit. Would love to hear about the specific details on the decision however (if you are able to divulge).

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the visa stuff ;)
