Howdy all,

I've uploaded a snapshot of RL2 beta1 to GitHub.

There have been a few backwards breaking changes since the last announcement - the most important being:

1. Context.extend() is now Context.install()

2. The context view display object needs to be provided wrapped in a typed ContextView object. Also, it is that object that gets mapped into the Injector and not the raw display object.

3. Changing a mapping issues a warning immediately (even if the new mapping is the same as the old one). There is a new Vigilance extension that explodes when warnings are issued. It also explodes if you overwrite an Injection mapping.

I don't expect the API to change much (if at all) from this point, so if you've been holding back and waiting for an official beta, this is it. I'm hoping to progress from Beta to RC quite quickly, so if you have any time, have a look and shout out with ideas/suggestions/feedback.

A massive thank you to Stray for all her hard work - she put a huge amount of time and energy into RL2, and I doubt it would have gotten off the ground at all without her.

This is great...

I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work... but I just want you to know that your hard work had a very positive impact on my life as a developer.

Thanks for all your efforts,
Barjawi

Thanks for the lovely message! Glad that you've been enjoying the framework. Many people have been involved (directly and indirectly) over the years, so "Big Up" to everyone.

I agree, Bravo!  I am super excited to get all of my extensions up to date and add some more tests!   I am also working to add the ability to use named signals with the signal command map extension, in order to cut down on injection mappings and "signal bloat" in some use cases.

This should happen this week since I was laid off today! I am going to take a much needed month off, to work on personal projects and hang out with my kids. But I digress..

My productivity has gone through the roof using this framework...more than ANYTHING I have ever used over the last 12 years.  And I have taken quite a few walks down the puremvc, vegas, mate, swiz and cairngorm roads.

Thanks for all hard work, everyone who has contributed..you all rock my world..

Thanks Ken, and sorry to hear that you got laid off. Sounds like you've got some fun times lined up though, enjoy.
